Production process of columnar activated carbon: After qualified raw material coal is imported into the plant, it is crushed to a certain fineness (generally 180 mesh or 200 mesh), then mixed with appropriate amount of binder (generally coal tar, or pulp waste liquid, starch solution, sodium lignosulfonate solution, etc.), and when catalytic activation is adopted, an appropriate amount of catalyst is added at the same time, and then extruded into charcoal strips under a certain pressure and with a certain diameter mold. After aging, carbonization and activation, the product is post-treated according to the nature of raw materials and product requirements, and then screened and packaged into finished activated carbon.
Similar to the production process of crushed activated carbon, the post-treatment mainly consists of acid washing and alkali washing to remove part of the ash of the activated carbon, and sometimes high-temperature oxidation, impregnation, coating and other treatments are also used, which are aimed at improving the adsorption characteristics and pore distribution of columnar activated carbon. The finished activated carbon has good adsorption performance, uniform quality and wide range of applications.
